Description

Cistern House at Hoddom Mains was likely built around 1880 as a water supply for Hoddom Castle. The structure features circular, vertically-boarded timber walls and has a door facing west towards Hoddom Mains, with no other openings. It is topped with a conical slate roof that has bracketed eaves, and includes a louvered and glazed apex cupola with a weathervane finial.
