28 High Street in Wigtown is an 18th-century single-storey cottage with a cellar, featuring two bays. The building is in poor condition and has a forestair leading up to the High Street. It is constructed of painted rubble and has a painted rubble forestair with iron railings. The door is located to the left and is flanked by a window, with a lower door on the outer left. The roof is covered with grey slates.
