Description
26 Shore Street in Inverallochy is a single-storey cottage, likely built in the mid-18th century. The cottage has not been modernised since before the First World War. It is constructed from rubble with roughly-squared dressings and features three wide bays, with an off-centre door that reaches the eaves level. The windows are sash style, and the building has skews and end stacks, topped with a pantile roof.
Inside, the cottage has earthen floors, timber box beds, and furnishings from the 19th and early 20th centuries, along with a hanging lum. There is also a stone-built structure adjoining the south gable, which now serves as a garage.
