Description

The sundial at Lochinch Castle was built in 1896 and is located to the southwest of the castle. It features polygonal tapering stone steps leading up to it. The sundial has an elaborate baluster shaft with an urn shape in the center. The table dial includes a metal gnomon marked '1902 LHS', and at the base of the gnomon, it is inscribed with 'Louisa Hamilton Stair 1896'.
