Description
The Lodge at Craigieburn House, built around 1840, is a single-storey structure designed in a cruciform plan. It features corniced square gatepiers and is constructed from whin rubble with contrasting painted ashlar dressings.
The lodge has gables with shaped skews and corniced square end stacks. It includes mullioned windows with small-paned sashes, a south-facing canted window, and a door located in the re-entrant angle. The roof is covered with graded slates.
The gatepiers consist of inner piers connected by curved low quadrants, while the outer piers are mostly built from rubble. The entrance is adorned with cast-iron gates.
