Description
Kelton Mains is a mid-18th century farmhouse that was widened to the rear during the 19th century. The main elevation is two storeys and six bays wide, with a later central piended porch added to the ground floor. The farmhouse is constructed of painted rubble, featuring a boulder base course and rubble quoins. A pair of 19th-century windows are located to the sides of the porch. Six smaller single-light windows are set into the first floor. The rear elevation has a rubble lean-to extension. The roof is slate-covered and has corniced end stacks. Symmetrical curved garden walls connect the house to advanced, single-storey and attic outbuildings built in matching painted rubble. The statutory address is Kelton Mains Farm.
