Description

Threave Lodge and Gates, built in 1872 by Peddie and Kinnear, is a picturesque L-plan structure featuring a single storey and an attic. The lodge is constructed from bull-faced red sandstone with polished chamfered margins and has plate-glass sash windows. It includes a timber gabled porch and deeply overhanging timber bracketed eaves. The roof is slate-covered and features corniced axial stacks with squat octagonal cans. The main gate is flanked by four octagonal granite piers and is accompanied by a low coped granite wall.
