Description
6-8 Castle Street in Kirkcudbright is an early 19th-century terraced house that has been significantly altered on the left side. The building has two stories and an attic, with two bays. It features painted render that is partly lined, along with decorative margins. There is a shared pend with No 2. Number 6 has a decorative panelled door and a decorative fanlight, while No 8 contains a modern shop front. On the first floor to the left, there is a 12-pane sash window. The house also has a two-storey canted window that rises into the attic and a canted dormer on the right. The roof is slate, and there are brick stacks at the ends.
