Description
Cults is a late 18th century cottage that underwent alterations in the early 19th century. It is a two-storey farmhouse with a later, lower asymmetrical two-storey wing at the rear. The building is constructed of painted rubble. The entrance elevation features three bays that are grouped towards the center, with a rectangular rendered and lined porch addition. There are windows flanking the ground floor, and each bay on the first floor has been enlarged in the early 19th century. Some of the sash and case windows retain a 12-pane glazing pattern, while others have plate glass or a 4-pane design. The roof is covered with large slates, and there are ashlar skews and ridge, along with broad end stacks and some octagonal cans. The property also features cast-iron rainwater goods.
