Description

Balmangan Tower is a simple rectangular tower, likely dating from the 16th century. It is in a ruinous state above the ground floor level and is currently used for storage and as a cellar for the adjoining Balmangan farmhouse. The tower is constructed of rubble and has enlarged openings at the ground level, including a door to the east and a later blocked arched cart entrance to the south. Inside, there is a vaulted basement with a wheel stair located at the northeast angle. No other notable features remain, and the farmhouse is situated to the north of the tower.
