Description
The Kendoon Surge Tower, part of the Galloway Hydroelectric Power Scheme, was designed by Sir Alexander Gibb consulting engineers and Merz and McLellan, electrical engineers, in 1936. This tall cylindrical structure is made of riveted plate steel and features an advanced eaves course. It is integrated with two large pipes leading to its base.
