Description

This is a mid to later 19th century, two-story house situated within a terrace on Mill Street, Drummore. The original design featured two bays, with the first-floor extending beyond the eaves, though the bays are grouped towards the left side of the building. The exterior is primarily harled, with the east-facing elevation constructed of painted brick. Painted details include architraved margins, cornices at ground floor level, a quoin strip to the southeast corner, and a base course.

The south-facing elevation (Mill Street) has a deep-set boarded front door with a letter-box fanlight in the left bay. A bipartite window is located at ground floor level in the bay to the right. Gabled dormerheads are above the first-floor windows. The west elevation adjoins a taller building, number 31 Mill Street, which formerly comprised part of the Queen’s Hotel (listed separately). The east elevation adjoins a single-story cottage, number 35 Mill Street.

Modern glazing has been installed. The building has no roof skews. A painted brick gablehead stack is visible on the eastern side, and the roof is covered with small grey slates.
