Description

Late 18th century. Large, circular steeply battered 4-storey

former windmill tower with former kiln and granary both

adjoining (modern grain silo alongside). Rubble-built

windmill with red ashlar dressings, remainder whitewashed.

Windmill: shallow conical slate roof replaces original cap

and sails segmental-arched door at each of 3 lower storeys;

small rectangular window openings; interior machinery all

removed. Kiln and former granary each single storey with

loft; kiln, to north east, has square loft opening to either

main elevation, and door, iron drying grill within; former

granary (now north range of steading) with altered openings.
