Description
The building is a late 18th century large, circular windmill tower that stands four storeys high and has steeply battered walls. It is constructed of rubble with red ashlar dressings, while the rest is whitewashed. The windmill features a shallow conical slate roof that has replaced the original cap, and it has segmental-arched doors at each of the three lower storeys, along with small rectangular window openings. The interior machinery has been removed. Adjoining the windmill are a former kiln and granary, both single storey with lofts. The kiln, located to the northeast, has square loft openings on either main elevation and a door, along with an iron drying grill inside. The former granary, which is now the north range of the steading, has had its openings altered. A modern grain silo is situated alongside the structure.
