Description

The building is a late 18th century to early 19th century brick tower windmill located north-west of Mill House. It stands three stories tall and features a segmental arched doorway and window openings. The windmill is currently roofless, lacking floors, and has had its machinery removed.

Adjoining the windmill is a mid-19th century steam mill, which is also made of brick and has a low pitched slate roof with gabled ends and wide overhanging eaves. This structure is two stories high with an attic, featuring small cast iron windows and a round-arched doorway on the first floor.

There is also a single-storey engine house attached, which has a gabled roof, three round-arched ornate cast iron windows, and a low pitched slate roof with wide eaves. Although the steam engine has been removed, the mill still contains a complete set of machinery. Connecting the steam engine house and the windmill is a one-storey range built in red brick, dating from the mid-19th century, with a low pitched hipped slate roof, wide eaves, and a round-arched cast iron window.
