Description
Cluddley Farmhouse is an 18th century red brick house with an unusual design. It features a tiled roof with gabled ends, which have moulded brick coping and stone kneelers, as well as a moulded brick eaves course. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. The wide central bay slightly projects and has a pedimented gable, which includes a Venetian window on the first floor and a segmental arched window in the attic. The narrow flanking gabled bays also slightly project, with their attic windows featuring tent-shaped arches. The other windows have flat rubbed brick arches and consist of 2 and 3-light mullion and transom casements with glazing bars, mostly original except for the central attic and right-hand first floor windows. On the ground floor, there are two doorways flanking the central window, each with round arches, moulded brick pediments, and panelled doors, although the right-hand door is blocked. The house has brick ridge and end stacks, and there is a contemporary wing at the rear.
