Description
Stutton Manor is an 18th-century house constructed of red brick, featuring a hipped red plain tiled roof and two rear red brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys, attics, and a basement, along with a two-storey extension on the left and a rear wing. It is adorned with gabled dormers on both the right and left returns, a parapet, a modillion cornice, and a central band. The central bay projects forward and includes a modillion cornice and a pediment.
The façade consists of a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with a pattern of 2:1:2, primarily small paned vertically sliding sash windows. Notably, there is a central first-floor Venetian window supported by four brackets, featuring a rusticated round head, pilastered sidelights with a moulded entablature, and gauged brick arches above the other windows and the basement.
The central doorway is framed by rusticated reveals and is flanked by three-quarter columns with capitals and bases. The frieze includes triglyphs and metopes decorated with quatrefoils, topped by a dentilled cornice and a pediment. The door itself is a six-panel design with a round-headed fanlight that has tracery.
There is a 19th or 20th-century extension on the left that matches the original cornice and band, and it features a two-window range.
