Description

Probably early 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay house with

alterations later in century including large jamb added to W,

flanking wings raised to 2 storeys with pedimented gables.

Rubble-built with ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins,

all painted. Slated roofs.

Original house: central east-facing door behind (?later)

Roman Doric-columned porch, corniced ground floor windows;

eaves/lintel band; sash windows; end stacks; piended slate roof.

Jamb also has rusticated quoins, and canted window. Wings

with band courses; low bay adjoining S wing heightened in

brick and with rusticated former doorway altered 1986 to

form window.

Interior: good cornice plasterwork; timber doorcases and

stair; painted glass stair window.
