Description
Corner House, located on High Street in New Galloway, is a single-storey cottage dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of painted rubble with a boulder basecourse. The door and the southernmost window feature re-used roll-moulded margins, likely from the 16th or 17th century. The cottage has sash windows with plate glass glazing and a pitched slate roof. Flanking the central modern box dormer, which is out of character with the rest of the building, are two tile-hung piended dormers.
