Description

Late 18th century. Pair of 2-storey similarly detailed terraced houses with typical Gatehouse Venetian window detail. Harled walling, smooth raised margins. Whole building probably of brick construction.

Paired central doorways with fanlight and double-leaf doors. Venetian window above, arched light blind (party wall).

To extreme left bay (N0 38) depressed arch pend with Venetian window above, flanking lights blind. No 38 ground, bipartite window with 2-pane plate-glass. Variety of glazing patterns to other single light windows; to No 38 1st floor sash and case with 12-pane glazing pattern. To No 40, 8-pane casement windows.

Slate roofs, coped brick stack to left.

Rear elevation partially harled, pend is brick lined.
