Description

Springhill is a two-storey, three-bay manse rebuilt in 1793, with later alterations and additions. A two-storey, two-bay addition sits at a re-entrant angle to the southeast. The main house is rendered with ashlar margins.

The north elevation features a central panelled entrance door, which has a decorative fanlight within a moulded architrave. The ground floor windows are small-paned and canted, but are not original. The first floor has plate glass sash windows. A band runs along the eaves and lintel. Two piended, canted dormers are visible, as are corniced end stacks. The addition has a tripartite window in its east gable. All roofs are slate-covered.

An addition, marked on the first edition Ordnance Survey map of 1857, was constructed. A rubble-built wall extends from the west gable, incorporating a gate with a 1795 lintel. Several outbuildings have piended roofs.
