Description
The walled garden and walls at Amisfield House likely date from the late 18th or early 19th century, with the south wall rebuilt in the mid-20th century. The garden enclosure is L-shaped and constructed from rubble, featuring flat stone coping that rises towards the taller east wall. Amisfield Tower is incorporated into the southwest corner of the enclosure. A decorative wrought-iron gate is located on the south wall, and a lead spout, which bears royal arms and is dated 1783, is positioned nearby, initialed with "FW." The north wall contains glasshouses, while the west wall is buttressed.
