Description

40 St Mary Street and 38 St Mary Street in Kirkcudbright are a pair of early 19th century terraced houses that have been altered over time. Each house is two stories high with an attic and features a central shared pend and outer quoins. The buildings are constructed from rubble with margions and have pilastered shop fronts. Each house has two first-floor windows and Nos 34 and 36 have two piended, canted dormers. The roofs are covered with slate.
