32 St Mary Street, Kirkcudbright

30 St Mary Street in Kirkcudbright is a pair of terraced houses with shops, dating from the early 19th century and featuring later alterations. Each house is two stories high and has two bays, with a shared central pend and outer rusticated quoins. Number 30 has a painted, lined render finish, while Number 32 is built from rubble with margins. The shop front of Number 30 includes engaged Corinthian columns, a door, a fascia with a dentilled frieze, and a block cornice, although it is partly obscured by modern shop fronts. There is one window to the right on the first floor and a central four-light oriel window with a piended bipartite dormer above, which is likely from 1904, as indicated by the date on the rainwater head. Number 32 features a door and one window at ground level, along with two windows on the first floor. Both houses have slate roofs.
