Description
Cowden Park, located on Stirling Road in Alloa, is a Tudor-Jacobean style building designed by John Melvin around 1850. It is a two-storey structure with a nearly symmetrical southwest front featuring twin gables. The left gable includes a rectangular tripartite bay with a tripartite window above it, while the right gable has a canted bay with a single window above. The northwest elevation has a porch with a thickly moulded shouldered lintel, and there is a set-back crenellated screen wall on the southeast side. A terrace is present on the southwest. The building is harled with margins and has a slated roof, along with octagonal shafted chimneys.
