West Lodge, Gogar Mount House, Glasgow Road, Edinburgh

West Lodge at Gogar Mount House on Glasgow Road in Edinburgh is an early 19th-century single-storey building with three bays. It is constructed from coursed whinstone featuring raised ashlar margins and quoins, with squared whinstone and pinnings on the side elevation. The lodge has broad eaves.

On the west elevation, there is a porch at the center with a door on the right return and flanking windows. In front of the lodge, there is a low curved wall with railings and a pedestrian gate to the right against a boundary pier.

The south elevation features a window at the center of the main block, with a flat-roofed extension to the right. The windows are 8-pane sash and case style. The building has a piended roof with lead flashings and a brick ridge stack.

The boundary wall consists of a curved whinstone wall topped with ashlar coping. It is complemented by octagonal sandstone gatepiers that have hemispherical caps.
