7 Bristo Place, Edinburgh

7 Bristo Place in Edinburgh is a later 18th century, four-storey, six-bay tenement building that has undergone some alterations. The ground floor features former commercial premises, including a prominent shop front with a dentil cornice and pilasters in the two outer right bays. The building is harled and painted at the ground level, with blind windows at the ground floor, painted window margins, and projecting cills above. It has a banded base course and a moulded string course at the ground level to the left.

The shop on the right has a louvred stallriser, a moulded architrave, a plain fascia flanked by consoles, and a dentilled cornice, which is also flanked by stepped Ionic pilasters. The central shop has chamfered openings, while the shop on the left features moulded and painted surrounds.

The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass, although the lower sashes are blind in the third bay from the left. The entrance to No 5 has a recessed four-panel timber door flanked by Ionic columnettes. No 6 has a recessed timber door with a cast iron gate, and No 7 features a four-panel timber door with a small pane glazed fanlight. The building has a pitched roof covered in grey slates, with rubble at the rear.
