Description
The Bothy at Baberton House is an earlier 18th century, single-storey building with a rectangular plan and three bays, located to the northwest of Baberton House. It is constructed from tooled random rubble with rubble dressings, featuring long and short quoins and polished lintels.
The southeast elevation is asymmetrical, with a polished doorway at the center that has rounded margins and a replacement timber door. To the right, there is a doorway in a flanking bay with a replacement door, and to the left, there is a window in another flanking bay.
The northeast and southwest elevations are blank, while the northwest elevation was not seen in 1997. The building has a single-pane timber window and a purple-grey slate piended roof with lead ridges and ventilators, along with cast iron rainwater goods. The interior was not seen in 1997.
