Description

Mid 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 5-bay terraced pair of classical houses with additions to outer bays to rear. Droved ashlar with polished dressings (No 7 painted); squared and snecked side elevations. Base course, band course between storeys, cornice and blocking course.

NE (JOPPA ROAD) ELEVATION: abacking ashalr porches at ground to centre to each house with base course, cornice and blocking course; ornamental glazing pattern square windows; panelled doors on return elevations.

SW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen, 1994. Both houses have additions to outer bays, possibly single storey (shown on Sutter's map).

12-lying-pane timber sash and case windows to No 5; plate glass timber sash and case windows to No 7. Grey slate piended roof with rendered and coped wallhead stack to NW elevation.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994. Shutters in situ and working at No 7, plasterwork in place, chimneypieces in situ (information from present owner).

BOUNDARY WALLS: squared rubble, ashlar-coped.
