Description
The Police Call Box on Register Place in Edinburgh was designed by the City Architects Department, likely in the late 1930s. It is a standard Edinburgh police box, featuring a classical, rectangular shape made of cast iron, measuring 6 feet by 4 feet. The long sides have two bays with pilasters, one of which includes a door that displays the City Arms. The short sides have a single bay and are topped with open pediments that feature ribboned wreath decorations. All elevations are adorned with saltire patterned glazing.
