Description

  1. 3-storey, 9-bay rectangular-plan plain classical tenement block; piended single storey wing to outer left with balustrade. Polished sandstone ashlar. Base course; 1st floor cill course; cornice; blocking course; stop-chamfered, architraved surrounds to windows.

NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 2 single windows at ground to centre; flanking architraved doorpieces with fanlights; 2 single windows flanking to left and right; architraved doorpiece and single window to single storey wing to outer left. Regular fenestration to upper storeys.

6-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; rendered coped stacks ; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low, coped boundary walls to street; gates to entrance pathways (not No 44); sections of original railings.
