Carron House, 114, 116 George Street, Edinburgh

Carron House, located at 114 and 116 George Street in Edinburgh, is a classical office building designed by the Hugh Martin Partnership in 1992. It features a three-storey structure with a basement and attic, showcasing three-bay classical house facades made of polished cream sandstone ashlar.

At No 114, which is paired with No 112, there is an architraved and corniced doorpiece that includes a panelled door and a radiating fanlight. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and a pair of canted piend-roofed dormers.

No 116 displays channelled rustication at the ground level, with a corniced doorpiece to the right that also has a panelled door and a radiating fanlight, flanked by stop-fluted pilasters. It features a mutuled eaves cornice and a pair of canted piend-roofed dormers as well.

Both buildings have 12-pane timber sash and case windows, ashlar coped skews, stone stacks, and grey slate roofs. The interior consists of modern office spaces with rooms at the front. Additionally, there are modern iron railings and lamp standards outside the building.
