Description

This pair of semi-rusticated sandstone gate piers dates from the mid to later 19th century. They are situated to the west of the stables at Comiston House, along the pathway that runs north from Caiystane Gardens. The gate piers are square in plan and feature droved edges. They have a projecting upper band course topped with a pyramid cap. The northern pier still has the remains of a corroded cast-iron gate.
