Description
The gate and gatepiers at Ravelston House Lodge, located at 195 Queensferry Road in Edinburgh, were built around 1791 for Ravelston House. They consist of a pair of circular-plan sandstone ashlar gatepiers that frame the carriage gateway. Each gatepier features a fluted frieze topped with a moulded cornice and has stepped circular-plan coping. The entrance includes two leaf spearheaded gates that sweep down to the center, with a pedestrian gate positioned to the right.
