Description

Earlier 19th century. 4-storey (basement to Lauriston Place) classical tenement, 7 bays to Lauriston Place, 3 to Lauriston Street, with engaged polygonal corner tower (shop at ground floor) articulating acute angle. Droved ashlar with polished dressings. Dividing band between ground and 1st floors; cill courses at 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors; eaves cornice. Regularly fenestrated. Stone steps and platts over-arching basement areas; timber panelled doors with plate glass fanlights at Nos 108 and 110. Round-arched openings to ground floor of tower; moulded surrounds to windows above, corniced to 1st and 2nd floors.

Predominantly 12-pane glazing to timber sash and case windows. Modern glazing to shop. Corniced stacks (rebuilt) with circular cans.

RAILINGS: spear-headed cast-iron railings to Nos 108 and 110.
