Toilets, West Lodge Complex, Edinburgh Zoo, 134 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh

The toilets at the West Lodge Complex in Edinburgh Zoo were designed by Robert Lorimer in 1913. This single-storey, single-bay building features a square plan and is designed in the Arts and Crafts style. The exterior is finished with painted harl and includes a base course and a piended bell-cast roof.

On the north elevation, there is a screening wall that leads to the toilet entrance. The south, east, and west elevations each have a single horizontal window. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a pyramidal ventilation panel at its apex. The building features replacement glazing and cast-iron rainwater goods.

Inside, the female toilets have been refurbished with new cubicles and wash basins, while the male toilets were not seen during the inspection in 1997.
