Description
Bethany Christian Centre is a town house built around 1815, featuring two stories and an attic with a symmetrical three-bay design. The exterior is made of cream sandstone, with stugged ashlar on the front and coursed and squared rubble on the sides and rear. It has a base course, a rusticated ground floor, a band course above the ground floor, a cill band course at the first floor, and an eaves cornice with a blocking course. The first-floor windows are architraved.
On the northeast (front) elevation, there is a round-arched tripartite doorway at the center, which has sidelights that are blocked and an ornately patterned rectangular fanlight above it. A single window is located above this doorway on the first floor, with single windows in the outer bays. The roof features two Velux rooflights.
The southwest (rear) elevation includes a bowed bay with single windows to the right and iron railings forming a parapet, along with a bowed bipartite dormer above. There are also single windows to the left.
The northwest elevation is gabled with an apex stack and has a small window at the gablehead. The southeast elevation mirrors this design.
The building has 12-pane timber sash and case windows and a slate roof with two apex stacks, some of which have octagonal cans. The interior was not seen in 1992.
