Description

East Hermiston Bridge is a single span bridge on the Union Canal, designed by engineer Hugh Baird around 1820. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble with a stugged sandstone segmental arch. The bridge features an advanced keystone that has the number '10' inscribed on it. The parapet includes a string course and ashlar coping.
