Description

Gogar Moor Bridge, located on the Union Canal, was designed by engineer Hugh Baird around 1820. This single span bridge is constructed from coursed and squared rubble, featuring a stugged sandstone segmental arch. The arch has an advanced keystone inscribed with the number '14'. The bridge also includes a parapet that has a droved string course and ashlar coping.
