Description
Late 19th century with later additions and alterations. Single storey pair of terraced houses, of 5 bays (in total 2-3). Stugged ashlar (squared render repairs to lower fabric of wall) with droved ashlar dressings to No 37A; rendered and droved ashlar dressings. Base course, eaves course; slightly raised quoins to No 37A.
SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: chamfered arrises to doorpieces with deep-set panelled doors to left bay of No 37A and bay to centre of No 39; plate glass fanlights above each. Remaining bays canted.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: single storey extensions to No 37A; 2-storey harled extension to rear of No 39.
4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; piended canted windows. Piended slate roofed extension to No 37A. Piended dormer to rear of No 39; roof slope raised to centre and right bays of No 39 to rear; slate hung wall, adjoining flat-roof extension. Ashlar stacks to gableheads; rendered elongated stack at apex, mutual gable. Original gutter and Gothic-styled downpipe to No 37A in place.
INTERIORS: not seen, 1994.
BOUNDARY WALLS: stugged ashlar with droved ashlar coping.
