11, 13 High Street, Kirkliston Village

11 and 13 High Street in Kirkliston Village is a late 18th century, two-storey building that consists of an asymmetrical long block made up of two paired houses. The structure has a rectangular plan, with smooth render on three bays of number 11 and wet dash on number 13, featuring cement-rendered margins.

The northeast elevation shows that numbers 11 and 13 were originally two terraced houses of three bays each, which have now been merged into one five-bay house. The left side has a three-bay unit with a central door, an enlarged window to the left, and a smaller window to the right at ground level. On the first floor, there is a window to the left, with enlarged windows in the centre and to the right. The right side has two asymmetrical bays, with a window at both ground and first floor levels in the left bay, and a larger window at the first floor on the outer right.

The windows are a mix of plate glass sash and case, along with replacement plate glass casement windows. The roof is covered with pantiles and features semi-circular coping at the ridge, with ashlar coping at the skews. There are squat, rendered and coped ridge stacks, along with evidence of thackstanes.
