9 High Street, Kirkliston Village

7 High Street in Kirkliston Village is a building dating from around 1830, with later additions made in the 19th century. It is a two-storey, rectangular-plan block consisting of two houses. The exterior is made of coursed sandstone rubble, with a later addition of squared, stugged sandstone at the wallhead. The building features four openings at the ground level and two at the first floor, with narrow windows that have droved margins and raised cills.

On the main elevation facing north, the original door for No 7 is located at the center, with a narrower door for No 9 to the right, both of which are united under a lintel. The doors are modern and include letterbox fanlights. There is a window to the outer left and evidence of a blocked stair window above the door of No 7. At the first floor, there are windows to the right and left, with the left window being enlarged and modern. Above the outer right bay, there is a flat-roofed, slate-hung dormer.

The sash and case windows have an 8-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slate and features ashlar coping at the skews, along with corniced ashlar gablehead stacks.
