Description
Drylaw House, located on Groathill Road North in Edinburgh, dates back to 1718. This building features two storeys with attics and a basement, constructed from rubble and harled. The west elevation remains unaltered, showcasing a six-window layout with a central door and a large piended roof that has twin chimneys. The east front was remodeled in the late 18th century, featuring a three-window pedimented central addition with a Roman Doric column fanlight doorpiece. Inside, there is notable painted decoration in the parlour, which is partly from the mid-18th century.
