Description

The Salt Pan at Ascog Bay is an 18th-century circular-plan ruin that was once used for salt production. It is located near the old coal mine workings at Ascog Point. The structure is made of red rubble sandstone with harl-pointed finishes. Inside, there is a visible segmental arch, and the site is enclosed by a cast-iron balustrade. The building is currently roofless.
