Description

The icehouse at Rosneath Castle Policies dates from the early 19th century and is built into a soil bank to the east of Parkhead. It features a canted front with a soil cover on top. The structure is constructed from large droved ashlar blocks and has ashlar coping. There is a low square door at the center, with the jambs reset for the door and cast-iron hinges located to the left.

Inside, the back wall is coved and the lower level is lined with red brick, while the upper level is made of whinstone and partially harled.
