Description
The Columba Hotel, located on Pier Road in Tarbert, is a building from the later 19th century designed in a French style. It stands three storeys tall with a front made of ashlar stone, while the sides and rear are constructed from rubble and white-washed. The roof is piended and covered with slate. The front features a square bay in the center, topped with a slated roof that has a deck on top, and includes round-headed attic windows. A porch at the entrance is supported by square piers, and there are decorative brackets at the eaves. There are also low additions at the eastern end and the rear of the building.
