Description

Ashludie Stable Court, located on Victoria Street in Monifieth, was designed by James MacLaren in 1866. This building features a quadangular plan and consists of one- and two-storey sections made of squared and random rubble, topped with a slate roof.

The entrance block is two-storey and includes a segmental pend with a shaped gable above it. There are skew gables with stacks, and single-storey bays on either side that return to form the northern and southern wings. The building has a top hopper and includes some sash and case windows. The western wing has undergone significant alterations and extensions.
