Circa 1820. 3 houses with shops at ground, part of terrace of 4, 2 storeys, painted lined render.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: house to left; later 19th century shopfront at ground, 5 part symmetrical, architraved margins, central doorway, windows flanking, large outer windows flanking, plate glass, awning, 2 windows at 1st widely spaced. House to centre; later 19th century shopfront at ground, chamfered margins, doorway to centre, window at right, large outer windows flanking, plate glass, canopy, 2 windows at 1st floor, canted dormers above outer bays. House to right; later 19th century shopfront at ground and additional windows at 1st, 3 narrow windows to centre, large windows flanking, chamfered margins, plate glass, 5 windows at 1st floor, canted, piended dormer to right.

W ELEVATION: adjoining 3-7 John Street.

E ELEVATION: adjoining 23-27 John Street

Timber sash and case windows at 1st and to dormers. Grey slate roof; stone skew and capped stack to right of centre house.
