Description

7-9 West High Street in Forfar is an Italianate building constructed around 1880 for the Union Bank. It features a three-storey ashlar facade with three windows on both the north and west sides. The High Street entrance has twin arched doorways, while the first floor showcases segmentally arched windows, with the central window adorned with a segmental pediment. Some details of the building have been partly defaced. The listing has been re-categorised as C(S) from B in 2006, highlighting its group interest, which includes both the interior and exterior as relevant to the building type.
