Description
The Meffan Institute, located at 20 West High Street in Forfar, was designed by Tait Conner and Henry Mitchell from Glasgow in 1896. This two-storey building features stugged ashlar stonework and has four windows with mullion and transom crosses. It includes an arched doorpiece and a decorative louvre at the roof. The building was re-categorised from grade B to grade C(S) in 2006, reflecting its group interest.
