Description

12 West High Street in Forfar is a mid-Victorian building featuring two stories and an attic. The facade has four windows and includes original ground floor shops with pilasters and cast-iron columns. The first floor is made of snecked rubble and is adorned with fanciful piended surrounds, along with two dormers that have pedimented tops. The building was re-categorised from grade B to grade C(S) in 2006, reflecting its group interest, and the listing applies to both the interior and exterior as relevant to its building type.
